As every year, you will find the finest artists from within and around the Upon You label presenting their selected gems on this anthology. These are all artists that have played live or spun the decks at the annual and legendary Home Sweet Home New Years’ Day party at the Arena, Berlin. As always, this is a two part compilation and marks another highlight in our labels history. Our first release of “black gold “in 2010 is a compilation shared by The Cheapers, Mathias Mesteno, Channel X and Onno. The Cheapers have given us a track that is slightly more “Technoide” than what we have become used to, with an absolute “bass beast” called “Madame Sans Merci” on A1. Mr. Mesteno has given us the second part of “Tante Dunkel” (once again paying homage to one of Copenhagen’s most illustrious night creatures) with this house track. The first part was released on our last Home Sweet Home compilation. After flipping the vinyl, B1 unveils Channel X’s last offering before releasing their debut album on “Stil Vor Talent” in the beginning of 2010, making us all the more pleased about this dependable club track. B2 is reserved for our Dutch colleague Onno’s kicking Tech House track that shows that Upon You know how to start out the new year in the right way.
